I'm blown away by the quality of this animation but the excessive amount of stuff happening all at once is sensory overload in its purest form.
Sometimes less is more, and I honestly think this would have been better if you put less effort into it, which is a huge compliment but also criticism

I loved the storytelling here, it really does feel like a comic book come to life.

The lack of music was a bit underwhelming though, it makes for great atmosphere but I feel this would've been better if it came with some spooky tunes.

ZanMiller responds:

Noted! Thank you for the feedback :) Glad you enjoyed it

Damn, this show is hilarious!
I hope you get the attention you deserve cause this is super entertaining.
The only bad thing is I feel the ending could've had stronger sound effects but that's about it.

AgeofGar responds:

Oh man, some of your are starting to pay close attention !
I did in deed slack on the audio towards the end. I felt I had delayed this long enough and at some point you just gotta wrap it up and do better on the next one.
But know that I see how attentive you guys are, Imma for sure gona have to step up my game for the following one.
Thank you !

This makes me very nostalgic for Luigi's Mansion, but I don't actually like that feeling very much.
Emulating the experience of playing an old game through animation is an idea with a lot of novelty, but it also puts the viewer in a situation where they are essentially watching someone else playing a really cool game that is forever out of reach; which is both tantalizing and a bit boring since the author is the only one in control of the experience.
That said, the story is really fun, the characters are great and the style is very captivating!

I hope to see more of this, just needs some work on the sound department I think, it seemed a bit muted

I loved going on this grim journey with Lucy! Her leaving the door open at the end was also a really neat touch!

I like the way you transition from one room to the other in a seamless way, but seeing Luigi break through the walls of the mansion trivializes things a little bit

I absolutely love this bizarre Paper Mario-esque universe you created for your characters, and I can't get enough of it, but thematically this is a bit lackluster.
There's a lot going on on the surface but not enough meat on its bones, a bit more focus on the story would've been nice.

This has the creativity of old Newgrounds with the polish of modern Newgrounds, it’s really well made!

I'm not gonna lie, I rewatched this a couple of times

Check out my old stuff, it’s not actually old if you haven’t seen it!
Also, my name is Hugo, hello!
